Stratos will supply device to meet both RoHS R5 and RoHS R6 guidelines.
RoHS R5 Definition
This part is RoHS compliant in applications that are covered by exemption 7 in the RoHS (Directive 2002/95/EC) Annex (which covers servers, storage and storage array systems, network infrastructure equipment for switching, signalling, transmission as well as network management systems for telecommunications). It fully complies with the RoHS restrictions on lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBBs, and PBDEs. It does contain lead in solder, but for applications with this exemption, that is allowed and the parts are considered RoHS compliant. In other applications that do not have this exemption, it would not be considered RoHS compliant.
RoHS R6 Definition
Lead free solder used, fully compliant.
